CASSIE CARSTENS

Cassie Carsten is the founder of The World Needs a Father, a global movement active in over 100 countries focused on tackling the scourge of fatherlessness around the world, impacting at least a million people from all walks of life.

Cassie has also co-founded two international leadership schools through which sports coaches are trained to be life coaches and model sound fatherhood to the youth through different sports codes.

He has built local and international networks of leaders from all walks of life that connect 150+ countries and is part of the leadership of a global sports movement that trains 100 000+ leaders a year.

He has also been involved in the various transformational processes in South Africa and internationally. As the chaplain of the Springbok rugby team between 1995 and 1999, he has seen how reconciliation and transformation can materialise through sport.

Cassie is a global mentor, strategic thinker and network builder. He firmly believes that selfless sacrificial love is the strongest power in the world, and transparent, accountable leadership is central to the lasting success of any movement or organisation.
